The Bikeriders

"The Bikeriders" captures a rebellious time in America when the culture and people were changing. After a chance encounter at a local bar, strong-willed Kathy (Jodie Comer) is inextricably drawn to Benny (Austin Butler), the newest member of Midwestern motorcycle club, the Vandals led by the enigmatic Johnny (Tom Hardy). Much like the country around it, the club begins to evolve, transforming from a gathering place for local outsiders into a dangerous underworld of violence, forcing Benny to choose between Kathy and his loyalty to the club.

Written and directed by Jeff Nichols ("Take Shelter"), the film stars Jodie Comer (“Killing Eve”), Austin Butler ("Elvis", "Dune Part Two"), Tom Hardy ("Mad Max: Fury Road"), Michael Shannon ("Revolutionary Road"), Mike Faist ("West Side Story", "Challengers"), Boyd Holbrook (“Narcos”), Damon Herriman (“Justified”), Beau Knapp (“Seven Seconds”), Emory Cohen ("Brooklyn"), Karl Glusman (“Devs”), Toby Wallace ("Babyteeth"), Norman Reedus (“The Walking Dead”), Happy Anderson (“Snowpiercer”) and Paul Sparks (“House of Cards,”).

"The Bikeriders" was inspired by photojournalist Danny Lyon’s seminal 1968 book, written over the four years he

spent as a member of the Chicago Outlaws Motorcycle Club, the film explores firsthand how a group of speed-loving outsiders morphs into a fearsome criminal gang that betrays its original live-and-let-live ethos during a time of tumultuous political, economic, and social change in America.
